Narayana Hospital Katra plays truant by not accepting golden card
2/3/2022 12:19:30 AM

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Feb 2: The Ayushman Bharat health card issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare continues to be denied by the private health institutes across Jammu & Kashmir and in a latest case Narayana hospital at Katra has denied the benefits of the card to a family.
Early Times has learnt from sources that the management of Narayana hospital does not entertain the health card better known as golden card.
The hospital management has been forcing the attendants of patients to pay all the dues and until that the patients are not discharged.
Sources said that the distressed families are left with no option but to pay the hospital bills and other dues. Even if they offer resistance to the non-acceptance of the health card they are left with no option but to pay dues. The same holds true for the patients who cannot survive and die.
Sources said that for both the normal and COVID-19 patients the management of Narayana hospital does not entertain the health card. This poses a big question mark on the logic behind the issuance of golden cards for the whole population especially those who are poor and can’t afford inflated hospital bills.
