EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 20: The BJP candidate from Raipur-Domana (Reserved) constituency, Bharat Bhushan (Bodhi) has refuted the claim of former Congress MLA of the constituency, Mula Ram, who also served as cabinet Minister that he has brought significant development of the area. Addressing public meetings at Dhundpur Mukhra, Rambagh, Suraj Chak, Chakkamil, Hakle, Lalyal and Khandwal, which falls in the Tawi Island, Bodhi said that during heavy rains and floods in river Tawi all these villages remain cut off from the rest of Jammu and people get marooned and are denied essential supplies for days together. He said even 61 years after Independence and formation of popular governments, by the National Conference and the Congress, the villages falling in Tawi Island and other villages in the constituency, being very closed to winter capital have remained neglected. |
