| Lecturers meet Education Secretary | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 20: A deputation of all J&K plus 2 lecturer’s forum led by its state secretary H.D. Qureshi called on secretary education G.A Peer today and discussed in length the overall scenario of school education in the state.
Deputation also laid stress for regularization of principals and lecturer’s, beside elevation of lecturers as senior lecturers, relaxation in the eligibility for elevation to the rank of principals.
The re-organization of the department was also discussed and apprised the secretary for immediate steps for re-organization to establish new Directorate at Elementary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Level with Director General of State Level.
The delegation expressed its concern over the delay in the regularization of about 1500 principals and 3000 lecturers.
The Secretary after a comprehensive discussion assured the delegation that all the issues raised will be addressed seriously on priority. |
