| ‘Pay issues won’t violate MCC’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 20: Implementation of 6th pay commission report in the state at this stage is not any violation of model code of conduct, as several states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi have already implemented the recommendation in toto since long. These views were expressed by Subash Shastri, president National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) at the workers rally at Akhnoor today. He urged upon the state government implement the report without any delay. He on the occasion said, that even 4th pay commission report in the state was implemented during the Governor rule in 1992 and urged upon the Governor implement the report soon.
Pleading the cause of central and state govt employees, Shastri also urged the Prime Minister for releasing installment of D.A due from July this year @ 7% of new pay scales. Shastri suggested that a mechanism should be put in place where under provision should be made for simultaneous implement for pay panel report and release of D.A to the central and state govt employees in once go across the country. Among others who also spoke on the occasion included Sham Lal Sharma, Ram Lal Sharma, Chaman Lal Bhagat, Sham Singh, Ram Paul Sharma and Geeta Devi. |
