| AWWA bids farewell to its vice president | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 20: Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) of White Knight Coprs, stationed at Nagrota Garrison, organized a special function at Usman Auditorium, to bid farewell to Paramjeet Kaur, its Vice President, who is moving to Delhi shortly on the retirement of her husband Major General Sheonon Singh, Chief of Staff, White Knight Corps. Shobhana Swamy, President AWWA wished her a very happy, prosperous and enjoyable retired life at Delhi. An entertainment program was organized on the occasion wherein wives of all ranks participated with enthusiasm and gusto. Paramjeet Kaur had been actively involved in promoting cause of AWWA in Nagrota and took special interest in infusing confidence amongst wives of JCOs and other ranks, encouraging and guiding them in becoming self reliant. Under her guidance, various AWWA projects were commissioned for the welfare of families of army personnel. She took keen interest in establishing new and modern Vocational Training Complex wherein all AWWA activities are performed under one roof. |
