Arjun excels in Poster Making competition
Display Your Talent Contest 2008-09

JAMMU, Nov 20: Arjun Manhas from the GGM Science College, (Morning), Jammu was adjudged first in the Inter-Collegiate/Departmental Poster-Making competition, conducted by the Department of Students Welfare University of Jammu under the ongoing “Display Your Talent” Contest . Suhani Kotwal from the Law School, University of Jammu and Bazila Farhat from the Department of English, University of Jammu, bagged second and third prize, respectively. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Meenakshi, Department of Psychology, Komal Hujjan, Govt. Women College, Parade and Mona Sharma, Govt. MAM College, Morning, Jammu.
The topics for the Poster-Making were “Folk -Art Festival-2009”, “Girl Child” and “Traffic Hazards”.
T.S Batra, Mohd. Amer Almansoor and Chander Uday Singh were among the judges to access the performance of the students. Dr. Samridhi Arora was the Teacher Incharge of this event and apprised the participants about the rules and regulations of the contest. The participants prepared beautiful posters with suitable captions with her bloom “ She has still got the half free for liberty”, including “No World with out Girl-Save Girl Save Future”, Prionser of the Past-Architect of the future”.
The programme was surprised by the Gurpal Singh, Kulbhushan Thakur, Balwant Singh Slathia, S.S Bhalla, Joginder Singh, Madan Lal Sharma, Ram Pal Satish Kumar Sharma, Madan Lal and Yash Paul. Among others Sachin Bhagat, Secretary, Hemant Kumar, Jt. Secretary, Students Cultural Council, Isha Taggar, Sohan Lal, Meenakshi, Dimple Sharma, Amjad and Mudassar were also present.
