SRINAGAR, Nov 20: Election Observer for Sonawari Assembly Constituency, Mr. A. Mujamdar today expressed his satisfaction over the smooth conduct of re-polling for 60-Poshwari-A and 61-Poshwari-B of Sonawari Assembly Constituency, where the voter turnout was about 65 per cent. Out of the total electorate of 1,501 for this constituency, 974 voters exercised their franchise today.
In 60-Poshwari A polling station, 528 votes were polled out of 763 votes while as 446 votes were polled out of 738 votes in 61-Poshwari B polling station.
Similarly, in Kargil re-polling was scheduled for two polling stations, 48-Chliskote where out of 601 votes, 514 votes were cast while in 91-Apathi polling station, where out of the total of 695 votes, 534 votes were polled. Thus, out of the total electorate 1,296 for these polling stations, 1,048 voters exercised their franchise today. |
