| Only two women in second phase | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 20: There are two women contestants among 81 in fray for the second phase of J&K Assembly Elections 2008. Both the women will contest from Rajouri district, which goes to polls along with Ganderbal district in the second phase of elections. In the first phase for which polling took place on November 17, three women contested the elections. While Smt. Sheraz Begum will contest elections as a BSP candidate from Darhal constituency, Ms. Mohinder Kour will fight as an independent from Kalakote constituency. A total of 59 candidates are in fray for four constituencies of Rajouri district while the number of contestants in Ganderbal district is 22. |
