REASI, Nov 20: With the withdrawal of nomination papers by seven candidates in Reasi district, 39 candidates are left in the fray. They include 16 from Reasi, 14 from Gulabgarh and nine from Gool-Arnas assembly constituencies.
In Gulabgarh Assembly constituency, four candidates namely Mrs. Massuma Bano, Haji Abdul Latif, Mr. Mohammad Ramzan and Mr. Mohammad Akram, all Independents, withdrew their nomination papers leaving 14 candidates in the election fray.
In Gool Arnas constituency, Mr. Abdul Rehman Shan and Mr. Gulzar Ahmed Wani, both covering candidates of PDP and NC respectively, withdrew their nominations. In all, nine candidates are now left in the fray.
In Reasi constituency, Congress covering candidate, Mr. Koushal Magotra, withdrew his nomination papers. With this, 16 candidates are now left in the fray for this constituency. |
