| Two-day inter-college boxing meet begins | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 20: Annual inter-college boxing competitions started today on a positive note with over 100 pugilists fighting for the top honours at MA Stadium boxing ring, here.
A very hectic schedule followed the opening day with competitors in different weight groups fighting in the first and second rounds.
“Since a big number of boxers have come forward for the competitions this time, we could only hold first and second rounds in different weight categories today. The finals shall be played tomorrow,” Assistant Director Physical Education, University of Jammu, Sonak Angchuk told SAN.
The ongoing competition is being held in 12 different weights starting from Light Fly (48 kg) to Super Heavy Weight (over 91 kg). |
