Lolab: There are 85,855 registered voters including 381 service voters in the constituency for 2008 Elections. Of these, 45,338 are male and 40,517 female voters. There are 10 candidates in fray. They are Mr. Qaiser Jamsheed Lone (NC), Mr. Abdul Haq Khan (PDP), Mr. Abdul Rahim Wani (PDF) (S), Mr. Farooq Ahmad Mir (INC), Mr. Muneer Ahmad Khan (Panthers Party), Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Ganai (Independent), Mr. Mohammad Maqbool Shah (BSP), Mr. Mahawali Khan (Independent), Mr. Barkat Ali Khan (ANC) and Mr. Abdul Aziz Naik (Independent) are contesting Election 2008 from this constituency. Handwara: Handwara Assembly constituency has 78,151 registered electorate for 2008 Elections. Of these, 40,579 are male and 37,572 female voters. These include 33 service voters.
