| BJP, Congress workers clash at Uri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Nov 21: Supporters of The Bhartiya Janata Party and the Congress clashed in North Kashmir township of Uri during campaigning on Friday, police sources said. According to PBI, BJP supporters who had gone to Chandanwari village for campaigning were returning back as some supporters started to hurl stones on the Congress party office in Chandanwari. Police sources told PBI that immediately congress workers too came out of the office and responded back by throwing stones on the BJP supporters. According to police sources one person identified as Vilayat Hussain son of Ghulam Mohammad was injured during the incident. Police later on reached the spot and started investigations into the case. Police also lodged an FIR in the case. |
