| Panthers condemn police action on employees | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 21: Strongly condemning police action on striking government employees, who had taken out a massive rally in support of their demand to implement recommendations of the sixth pay commission and regularization of Daily Wagers in various departments in the state, JKNPP state vice-president P.K. Ganju has extended party’s full support to the employees and urged the Governor to accept the genuine demands before the expiry of his present tenure. In a statement issued here today Ganju said that the services of thousands of Daily wagers are hanging fire for the last two decades despite the fact that Congress, NC and PDP always ignored poor daily wage bread earners on one pretext or the other. The previous ministers ordered engagement of educated youth on adhoc, contractual and daily wage basis without any job security, only to use them and create vote bank for their respective parties. He has asked the government to enhance the meager pension of low paid retired employees along with the implementation of 6th pay commission. He demanded that private institutions, including schools, colleges should also enhance the meager salaries of most of the neglected section of the society. |
