BJP warns of legal action against Sikh bodies
Remarks against Sangh
11/21/2008 11:08:14 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 21: Strongly condemning the statement of former President GPB, S S Wazir leveling certain allegations and demanding probe by a sitting Supreme Court Judge into the role of the BJP and the Sangh Parivar, BJP spokesperson, Ramesh Arora has said that this type of statement can only be issued by an irresponsible and insane person and added ‘We have decided to issue legal notice to the concerned persons and take appropriate action in the court of law’.
In a handout he said that no one has forgotten that Bhindrawala was the creation of Congress government and when he refused to accept the dictates of Congress, blue-star operation was done. This had hurted the sentiments of a particular community, and such operation could have been avoided, if Sant Bhindrawala could have not been used by Congress for the sake of vote bank politics.
Arora has further said that no one has forgotten the massacre after the killing of Indira Gandhi and everybody is aware the persons who were involved in abetting the same adding that it was only the Congressmen and no body else. It would have been better to demand probe by a sitting judge, at the initial stage when the incident happened, we fail to understand why they kept silent for years together and not demanded a probe in it. Raising such issues at the election time is nothing but a political gimmick to confuse the issue and the voters. ‘BJP takes serious note of the allegations made against the party and the Sangh Parivar and will take legal course as the same is meant to defame and damage the image of nationalistic forces’, the spokesman said.
