Six drug paddlers taken into preventive custody in Doda

DODA, Feb 26: SSP Doda said that six drug Paddlers have been taken into preventive custody by Police on the orders of Executive Magistrates from Doda and Bhaderwah Towns.
These six person have been found involved in illegal activities especially narcotic smuggling and addiction.
A detailed report of their involvement in illegal activities was prepared by local police and submitted before the executive Magistrates who have issued detention orders of all six under preventive sections of law.
They include Mubashir Hussain son of Mohammad Sharif resident of Basti Koti in Doda, Farooq Ahmed son of Mohammad Saber resident of Sikwan Doda, Reyaz Ahmed son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Sikwan Doda, Amar Usman son of Mohd Ramzan resident of Dhar Doda and Vishal Kotwal son of Dalip Kotwal resident of Nagri Doda, Irshad Ahmed S/O Nazir Ahmad R/O Puneja Bhaderwah. All the above mentioned drug Peddlers have been lodged in District Jail Bhaderwah.
A team of police under the supervision of Deputy SP HQ Jaswant Singh implemented the order of preventive detention of all six drug Peddlers.
SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom said that keeping a check on illegal activities is a prime motive of Police in the district for which all necessary steps are being taken. He appealed Civil society in the district and especially the parents to keep a close eye on their wards as this is the first step of prevention by which innocent youth can be saved from falling in the clutches of drugs addiction.
