| Police arrests drug peddler with 8.9 Kg Charas | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Feb 26: “Under the banner of operation Sanjeevni” Kishtwar Police continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drug from the society, today one drug peddler arrested at Parna area of Chatroo and recovered Crushed Cannabis (Charas) from his possession.
As per the details available with Early Times, on a specific information a naka was established Parna Chingam area of Chatroo by Insp Parvaiz Khanday SHO PS Chatroo under the supervision of Dy.SP DAR Kishtwar Zia-Ul-Haq.
While checking of Pedestrian & vehicle Naka Party on noticing the suspicious movement of a pedestrian and subsequently naka party asked him to halt , while the frisking his luggage crushed cannabis (Charas) like substance recovered from his possession weighing about 8.9 Kg and arrested the accused person on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Abdul Latief S/o Mohd Ramzan R/o Parna Chingam.
In this regard case FIR No. 18/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Chatroo and Investigation taken up. |
