Shiv Sena launches ‘Hum Dard Jaante Hain’ campaign; honours police personnel

JAMMU, Feb 27: Shiv Sena, Jammu and Kashmir unit today felicitated the Police personnel under the campaign named "We know the pain" saluting the loyalty and dedication of the Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel to their duty. The campaign was launched under the leadership of Shiv Sena J&K President Manish Sahni who honored police personnel with rose and token of respect at various roads and crossing of Jammu city.
Speaking on the occasion, Sahni said that the main aim of launching this campaign is to show the human face of the police personnel who are serving day and night for the welfare of general public and to bring to the public the dedication and loyalty of the police personnel towards their duty.
Sahni lauded the J&K Police for its valor and commitment, saying that J&K is an integral part of the Republic of India and the J&K Police has played a vital role in this regard.
“The manner in which the police have fought terrorism in the last 32 years is exemplary for the whole world. Shiv Sena leaders also paid a heartfelt tribute to the brave ASI Babu Ram of Jammu and Kashmir Police who was awarded the Ashok Chakra during the Republic Day,” he said.
Sahni further said that Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel have brought laurels to the department and the J&K in the sports and entertainment world.
Sahni urged the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, to enhance the risk allowance of Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel at par with paramilitary forces. Besides, ration allowance should also be provided to them. Along with this, a demand was made to increase the reservation of women from 15 to 33 percent and to provide Women Desk Facility in all the police stations of Jammu and Kashmir.
Along with this, Shiv Sena leaders have urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speed up and ensure free return of the stranded Indian from Ukraine.
On this occasion president women wing Meenakshi Chibber, chairman Rakesh Gupta ,Gen secretary Vikas Bakshi, Vice president Sanjeev Kohli, Sandeep Bhagat, President Kamgaar wing Raj Singh, Sumeet Abrol and Balbir Kumar were present.
