| BJP to undo bias against Jammu: Katiyar | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 21 For balanced development of all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir delimitation of assembly constituencies is necessary in the state, BJP National General Secretary Vinay Katiyar said here today. "Delimitation of constituencies would help development of the state and flow of adequate funds to its all three regions," Katiyar told reporters here. He said the process of delimitation of constituencies was done all over the country but former National Conference (NC) government stalled it till 2026, thus creating hurdle in the development of all the three regions of the state. If the BJP is voted to power at the centre and the state, the party would implement the process of delimitation of constituencies in the state as there is a political imbalance between two major regions of Kashmir and Jammu with Valley having 46 assembly seats and Jammu only 37, he said. He also lauded people of Jammu for showing unity during the Amarnath land row agitation and said that the agitation also focused about the discrimination meted out to the Jammu region. He demanded withdrawl of cases against the agitators during the Amarnath land row as per the agreement between the Governor's panel and the committee of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti, which spearheaded Jammu agitation.
