| JCC Bank focuses on reducing NPAs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 22: The Board of Directors meting of the Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Limited, Jammu was held here under the chairmanship of Mohinder Singh. The special focus in the meeting was to take effective steps for reducing the NPAs of the Bank and accordingly a Special Recovery Team has been constituted for the purpose, which shall be headed by an officer of the rank of Assistant General Manager and shall monitor the recovery of whole of the Jammu Province. The another aspect upon which the Board of Directors laid stress is towards Loans and Advances for which apart from reconstituting Head Office Loan Committee, District Loan Committees have also been re-constituted in order to avoid delay in sanction of loan cases at district level. The Board has further decided to revamp the Investment Cell of the Bank so that better avenues are made available for making secured investments in order to earn better yield on account of interest. It is also decided to computerize District Head Quarter Branches as also opening of more Extension Counters in the rural areas. Providing of bank’s onw ATM facilities to its clientele especially in rural areas is also in the active consideratioin of the Board. In the meeting Angrezu Ram Sharma, Vice Chairman, Surjit SIngh, Gopal Krishan, Nand Kishore, Altaf Hussain Shah, Lachman Dass, Joginder Singh and Romesh Chander Verma, Directors were present. |
