| Sanskrit scholars asked to write research in Hindi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 22: The negative attitude shown towards Sanskrit language by the U.G.C has been strongly condemned by the JKSS, president Paras Shastri said U.G.C is compelling Phd and M.Phill students to write research papers in Hindi, which is very strange. He said research papers of various subjects or languages in which research work is done. He said Sanskrit is totally a different language from Hindi and one fails to understand why UGC compel scholars to write thesis in Hindi. Shastri further said, if this trend continues time will come when in the country nobody will speak or write Sanskrit. He appeals state and centre Govt steps be taken to improve the language and introduce it in educational institutions of the country. Among others present in press meet were Dr. Dharam Paual, Kuldeep Parihar, Shiv Jyoti, Parshotam and Tripti Sharma. |
