An eight-year-old male child was killed when he was hit by a speedy matador at Chanipora, in Rajbagh area here today.
As per reports the boy Raj Kumar son of Sham Lal resident of village Chanipora who was on way to his residence when speedy matador registered under No. JK08A-2055 hit him on the road and receive serious injuries. People of the area took him to hospital were doctors declared him brought dead.
Family members of the victims along with people of the area protest against the accident and booked traffic on National Highway for more than two hours. They were demanding the immediate arrest of matador driver involved in the accident. The Dy. SP border Sajjad Nabi along with police force rushed to the spot and pacify the mob and assured then that the culprit will be arrested shortly. Police have launched the massive hunt to arrest the driver.
Meanwhile, a person identified s as Sheikh-u-Deen s/o Nasur-u-Din of Kalakote was electrified, while he was working in a shop. Locals of the area took him to hospital were he passed away. Body was handed over to his family members.
