Lalyal and Khandwal, Bodhi said that during heavy rains and floods in river Tawi all these villages remain cut off from the rest of Jammu and a large number of people are marooned. They are denied essential supplies for days together. Even 61 years after independence and formation of popular governments, the state being ruled most of the time by the National Conference and the Congress these villages have altogether been neglected in all spheres of life.
