EARLY TIMES REPORT R.S. Pura, Nov 23: To focus on health education and spread awareness among the masses regarding their physical health, the Centre for Adult, Continuing Education and Extension (CACE & E), University of Jammu organized a health awareness-cum-medical camp for the refugee population living in the border village of Badyal Brahmana, Ranbir Singh Pura, here today. Hundreds of people visited the camp and got themselves examined by the two specialist doctors Dr. V. K. Verma, Senior Physician specialist, Dr Padam Dev Raina, Assistant Director (retd), ISM. The doctors made aware the people especially the refugee population about the importance of organizing such health camps and impressed upon them to take full advantage of such camps. Rajiv Chuni, well known refugee leader, Kanta Sharma, Principal, Adarsh Niketan High School, Badyal Brahmana, Dr Kavita Suri, Assistant Director, Centre for Adult, Continuing Education and Extension, University of Jammu and Sandeep Singh Sandy, Project Officer, Centre for Adult, Continuing Education and Extension, University of Jammu were also present at the occasion. |
