| JKNUF fields candidates against Farooq, Mehbooba | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 23: The Jammu & Kashmir National United Front (JKNUF) taking part in the elections first time has fielded to candidates against National conference leader Dr. Farooq Abdullah from Hazratbal, PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti from Wachi and former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir from Gulmarag. As per press release party has fielded the candidates after dur deliberations in tune with its pledge to fight against the family rule and vested interest class in Kashmir. The party has fielded twelve more candidates in different constituencies including Sopore, Kupwara and Amrikadal. The party candidates have held door-to-door campaign in Jammu and Delhi to seek the support of voters from the displaced community and left for Srinagar to campaign in their respective constituencies which goes to pool on Nov. 30. The top leadership of the party led by its Working President A.K. Dewani will also address election meetings to seek the support for its candidates. Meanwhile, addressing party workers and election meetings in Jammu Dewani cautioning the voters urged them to close their ranks and make use of this historical opportunity to elect its own representative to be part of the states governing apparatus. He charged the National Conference, Congress and PDP of ignoring the interests of the community in exile and said it is high time that forces, which are hell bent to weaken the state bond with the rest of India, are pushed to margins. |
