| Chaitali bags first prize in on- the- spot painting competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 23: Chaitali Mahato of government women college Gandhi Nagar bagged the first prize in the inter-collegiate/departmental on- the- spot painting competition, organized by the Department of Students Welfare of University of Jammu, while Ramesh Kumar of Government SPMR PG College of Commerce and Dharam Vir of Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Degree College, Hiranagar won the second and third prizes respectively.
The topic of the painting competitions was ‘village life’, flower vase’ and ‘festival’ and nearly 21 students from various colleges of Jammu region took part in it.
The certificates of merit were awarded to Arjun Manhas of GGM Science College, Namrata Thapa and Arti Kumari, both from Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial College Reasi.
The Rangoli competition is being held tomorrow, while the first, second and third prizes for all the fine art events, conducted under the first phase of ‘Display Your Talent’, are being awarded at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium here tomorrow. |
