JAMMU, Nov 23: Winning two gold each, Government SRML Higher Secondary School and MHAC Nagbani School shared the top honours in relay events in the inter-school athletics meet of Jammu district organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at KC Public School ground, here today.
While SRML boys bagged first position in 4x400 meters and 4x100 meters relay events of under-19 year category, the MHAC Nagbani emerged winner in 4x100 meters competitions of both under-17 and under-14 year age groups.
Meanwhile, the three-day athletics meet in girls section shall start tomorrow at the same venue.
The detailed results:
Under-19 year: 4x400 meters: SRML HSS (Vipan Kumar, Amit Kumar, Rahul Kumar and Mohd Sadique), Ist; HSS Jourian (Anshu Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Sonu Sharma and Ajay Sharma), 2nd and HSS Marh (Karan Sabotra, Rakesh Kumar, Ashwani Choudhary and Sahil Sharma), third. 4x100 meters: SRML HSS (Vipan Kumar, Amit Kumar, Rahul Kumar and Mohd Sadiq), Ist; MHAC Nagbani (M Singh, Ashval Gupta, Bhanu Partap Singh and Parshant Sharma), 2nd and HSS Marh(Sahil Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Umesh Kumar and Ashwani Choudhary), third.
Under-17 year: 4x100 meters: MHAC Nagbani (Akhil Chauhan, Mayank Sharma, Vikas Singh and Devinder Suri), Ist; KC Public School (Ishan Shahabadi, Raghur Soni, Bhanu Partap and Kesar Pandita), 2nd and HSS Gole Gujral Camp (Gurmeet, Raman, Anil and Gulshan), third.
Under-14 year: 4x100 meters: MHAC Nagabni (Jasbir Singh, Vishal Singh, Abhishek Koul and Stanzin Lotus), Ist; KB Public School (Mohd Akram, Ishfaq, Latif Hussain and Mohd Amin), 2nd and KC Public School (Bhanu Partap, Amandeep Singh, Parth Sapru and Divesh Raina), third. |
