J&K BJP failed to fulfil even a single promise: Harsh Dev
3/17/2022 10:41:18 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

CHENANI, Mar 17: Accusing the BJP at the centre and state of having belied the hopes and aspirations of the people of J&K, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman-JKNPP and former Minister today said that time had come to teach a lesson to those who betrayed the voters by false narrative and deceptive slogans.
He said that while the slogans of “corruption free dispensation” and “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” remained a distant mirage, the bold assertions of “Achhe Din” have continued to remain mired in ambiguity. The saffron rule witnessed uncontrolled inflation, steep rise prices of almost all essential commodities and demonetization which gave a stunning blow to the economy of the nation besides rattling the middle classes and lower income groups. He was addressing public meetings in Kalound, Ladha and Moud villages of Chenani constituency today.
“Not only did the BJP govt fail on governance front but law and order situation deteriorated to an all time low. The internal security became the biggest causality of BJP rule with unprecedented death and destruction shaking people’s faith in the dispensation they headed. The frequent attacks on security forces, political persons and innocent civilians had belied the tall claims of the govt and shall continue to haunt the people for years to come. The incidents of bomb blasts at hitherto peaceful places like Udhampur had exposed the hollow claims of govt of having curbed militancy in J&K”, asserted Singh.
With unemployment having assumed alarming proportions, the educated unemployed youth suffered most heavily under the BJP regime. While announcements for creation of two crore jobs every year were made by the central BJP leaders, the delivery on the ground was in inverse proportion to the articulation of the promise itself, said Singh.
Decrying the BJP for failing to ensure equal share to Jammu region in Assembly and Parliament seats, Singh deplored the neglect of every single issue of Jammu region which it had incorporated in its Election manifesto. Having failed to project the grievances of various areas protesting against the flawed Delimitation of Assembly constituencies, the BJP leaders had chosen to endorse the said report thereby further antagonizing people of both the regions.
Pointing towards the local issues of the area, Singh called for opening of adequate number of ration depots in the remote areas so as to facilitate the delivery of civil supplies to the people in their native villages.
