| VO Challan against Patwari | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 24: The Vigilance Organization today presented challan in the Court of Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu against then Patwari Romesh Chander Halqa Siot who was caught red-handed on April 12, 2008.
Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption, Jammu, Sanjeev Gupta fixed December 20, 2008 for arguments on framing charges.
The accused patwari is alleged to have demanded RS.1500 from the complainant for making certain entries in the revenue records. Acting on a written complaint, Vigilance organization registered a case and a trap team caught the Patwari red-handed while accepting bribe money which was recovered from his possession in presence of the independent witnesses. After completion investigation challan was present in the court today for further judicial determination. JNF |
