| Observers supervise training | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Nov 24: A day long special training capsule for the Presiding Officers of five assembly segments of Chadoora, Budgam, Beerwah, Khansahib and Char-i-Sharief was held today under the supervision of the three Election Observers Mr. Sham Lal Goyal, Mr. P.M. Thakur and Mr. Mohammad Sharief Alam.
During the programme, the Presiding Officers were informed about the various aspects of electioneering and how to conduct the polls in fair and transparent manner.
The Observers on the occasion, while delibrating on various aspects of the poll process stressed upon the participants to ensure their impartiality during the electioneering process. They stressed for strict adherance to the Model Code of Conduct.
The five constituencies of the district are stated to go to polls in the 4th phase on December 07, 2008. |
