| Tarigami was strict action against forces | | BARAMULLA FIRING | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Nov 24: CPI (M) state secretary M.Y.Tarigami has demanded stern action against the security forces personnel responsible for the killing of two peaceful protestors at Baramulla on Saturday. In a statement issued to PBI, Tarigami said the security personnel who had gone berserk killing two innocent youth is unwanted and uncalled for and such highhandedness cannot be tolerated in a civilized democratic set up. He said that such acts can only further vitiate the atmosphere and recurrence of such reprehensible acts demand concrete measures to salvage the shattered public dignity. Asking for speedy judicial inquiry in the incident Tarigami called for an urgency of initiating political measures in order to curb such barbaric acts of human rights violations. Tarigami has expressed his sympathies and solidarity with the bereaved families and demanded immediate relief among the affected families. |
