| Dharampaul promises tehsil status to Marh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 24: Former MP and Congress candidate from Marh Dharampaul Sharma has assured the electorate of the constituency that he would vigorously fight for tehshil headquarter at Marh and border block status for the area besides upgrading the facilities of sub district hospital. Addressing series of election meetings at village Karloop, Niabasti Gajansoo, Sama Chak and several other places, Sharma said the state witnessed a massive development during the alliance government but regretted that the things have not changed in the Marh constituency due to the slackness of the previous legislator who represented the constituency for last 12 years. Sharma said that it was unfortunate that PDP had back stabbed the Congress and did not allow Azad government to complete its full term of three years as a result of which some of the promises made to the people during the previous elections could not be fulfilled. He appealed the electorate to cast their valuable votes for development and progress for which the Congress party is committed and assured to fight for ensuring tehsil status to Marh besides rapid development of the neglected parts of the constituency. |
