| Bihar drug smuggler arrested by Katra police | | |

A drug smuggler from outside the state was arrested by the police here, who used to sell intoxicant capsules etc. pilgrims and locals of the area since quite some time back.
According to reports police of the area on a tip off arrested a youth identified as Sanjay Paswan son of Dharam Veer Paswan of Bihar state and recovered 200gms of opium from his possession on spot. During interrogation he disclosed to police that he used to purchase drugs etc. from Bihar and other states and then sell them here ( Katra) on higher price among pilgrims etc. He said he had been in the business since long as no alcohol etc. is available in the town, being a holy places, and added people used to purchase it without any hesitation. Police have registered the case and is investigating the matter. The whole operation, was carried out under the supervision of SHO, Katra,SS Sambyal and DSP Anil Magotra.
