| LAHDC holds joint meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KARGIL, Nov 26: To discuss annual action plan 2008-09 of Kargil district under Renewable Energy Programme (REW) a joint meeting of Executive Council, LAHDC, Kargil and Officers of Project Director, REDA, Kargil was held under the aegis of Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Kachoo Ahmad Ali Khan. As per a release it was told in the meeting that 4 Micro Hydro project was proposed at Bartoo, Sapi, Lastak and Itchoo villages of Sankoo and Kargil blocks with a capacity of 30 KW each project and an amount of Rs. 120.43 lacs is proposed to be utilized tentatively on these project. Evne villages are proposed to be electrified of the completion of these projects. In addition, to it was in the meeting that Tamasha-Nallah and Atting Village are also identified for Micro-Hydro projected in the Action Plan 2008-09.
It was informed the meeting that at present various low cost technologies have come up in power sector under resource of energy programme which are need to be tapped to generate power in far off hilly and isolated villages of the district. |
