| Amway unveils gift catalogue in Jammu. | | | Jammu Sept.14: Amway, the leading FMCG Company which believes in direct selling and has a world wide product portfolio with 546 patents, launched 4th consecutive edition of gift products in Jammu to compliment the upcoming festive season. Associate vice president- North, Srinivas Rao, was the chief guest at the function. Area manager Alok Bodoni was also present there at the function. " The launch of catalogue category has been timed with the festive season which runs from October to March in which people do exchange gifts with their near and dear ones especially on Diwali, Christmas and new year. Our products serve as ideal gifts during the festive season because they are competitively placed.” said Rao on the occasion and added that the objective is double fold - to create excitement around the products in the market by offering wide choices to the consumers on one hand and to increase the earning potential of Amway distributors on the other hand. Amway penetrated into the Indian markets in the year 1998 and according to Rao the company has grown from Rs. 91 crore in its first financial year to Rs.633 crore in 2004-05. He is also optimistic that the launch of new products will further consolidate its business and position in the market and hopes for a business of Rs. 700 crore on the newly launched products in the northern zone alone. Speaking about the products Rao said that the products of Amway has launched 12 new products which fall in different categories like personal care, home care, nutrition, wellness and cosmetics. He said that all the new products like other products are eco- friendly and carry hundred percent money back guarantee if fail to satisfy the consumers. He further elaborated various free enterprise, self- employment and various other social service schemes, which Amway has been implementing since its inception.
