| SP candidate files nomination from Bhaderwah | | | EARLY TIMES REPROT Bhaderwah, Nov 26: Samajwadi Party leader Sheikh Muhammad Shafi today filed his nomination papers from Bhaderwah constituency. Accompanied by large number of his supporters and party workers, Sheikh Muhammad Shafi filed his nomination papers before the Returning Officer Bhaderwah, here this morning. Earlier, the SP candidate was taken in the form of a large procession to the office of Returning Officer. The rally passed through the main bazaars of Bhaderwah town ship. Later, addressing his supporters and party workers, Sheikh lambasted Congress and Peoples Democratic Party for their "anti-people" role. He said that Congress, PDP created a mess with their policies and programmes, most of which were against the interests of public and the state. The unholy alliance, he alleged, has worsened the developmental scenario in the far flung areas of the state. He said that the people of this far flung constituency have been neglected and ignored by the successive governments which have worsened the developmental scenario in the area. He also cautioned the people to remain vigilant against the National Conference which is known for its false promises during the elections. "Samajwadi Party is the only party which can work for the overall development of the state", he added. Sheikh said that the time has come when people should wake up from deep slumber and teach a lesson to those who have been betraying them for their own vested interests. |
