| BJP sets up centralized election campaign office for Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 26: BJP today launched its centralized campaign office for its party candidates contesting elections from Kashmir. The office to operate from Jammu was inaugurated by the party president Ashok Khajuria. Besides, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, senior party leader and Moti Koul, Vice-President BJP Kashmir, the inaugural function was attended by large number of BJP activists and members from displaced Pandit community from the valley. Ashok Khajuria, speaking on the occasion, expressed his displeasure over the regional imbalances created by the successive state governments and made it clear that BJP shall pursue delimitation of constituencies to its logical conclusion. Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, party candidate from Jammu West, appealed the Pandit voters to support the party nominees and promised that he will attend and address all the local issues and problems faced by them. Moti Koul in his address stressed the need for large scale voting by the Kashmiri Pandits and accused the successive governments of undermining the burning issues that were confronted by the displaced community. Koul remained that Pandits are fully aware of the forces and the political leaders that were responsible for the tragic exodus of the community. It has been only BJP both at the centre and state, who not only sympathized with us but contributed directly in addressing our issues in whatever way it was possible. BJP candidate from Habbakadal Hira Lal Chatta also addressed the gathering. The function was also attended by the BJP candidates who are contesting election from Kashmir province, besides Lalit Moza, Balbir Ram, Parmodh Kapahi, Dinesh Gupta, Arun Khanna, Surinder Sharma, Balwan Singh, Sureshta Jamwal, Surinder Choudhary, Pranav Gupta, Ram Kumar Sharma. |
