| BGSB University to hold national seminar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 26: In order to discuss the current trends of changing mobile technology, Department of Computer Sciences of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University would be organizing a National Seminar titled "Current Trends in Mobile Technology CTMT-2008" from 28-29 November 2008 at the University Campus. The seminar is expected to attract experts from leading institutions of the India and would be inaugurated by Masud A Choudhary Vice Chancellor of BGSB University. The seminar is sponsored by All India Council of Technical Education AICTE and would focus on the recent developments in the field of mobile computing and pervasive computing, impact of these developments on the society as a whole, challenges and issues ahead and prospective measures to mitigate these challenges. During the two day National Seminar the delegates and invited speakers would deliberate on a range of issue including wireless communication, mobile security, wireless, E-business, wireless sensor networks, adhoc networks, performance of mobile and wireless network systems, wireless multimedia systems, data base and data management issues in mobile computing, natural languages for pervasive computing, operating systems and middleware support for mobile computing and network, RFID and applications, software and Information security and network infrastructure services. Giving details, Prof. M Asghar Head Department of Computer Science of the University said that in this arena of fast changing end user requirements, drastically reduced time to market and globalization the researchers and design engineers in the filed of mobile computing have tough time ahead. These complexities can be handled and managed with the increased use of object and component based software development. "It is therefore necessary to discuss the present status and future possibilities of this changing technology", he added further. |
