| Jammu doctor represent India in World Boxing Championship | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 26: Dr Sanjogita Soodan of Jammu and Kashmir has been appointed sports medicine specialist for the Senior Women World Boxing Championship underway at Ningbo in China. Dr Sanjogita’s has been selected to accompany the Indian team by the Indian Boxing Federation (IBF). The World Championship has already been started from November 21 and will conclude on November 29. A national player and gold medalist in the State Judo Championship in 1992, Dr Sanjogita did her diploma in Sports Medicine in 2005 from Netaji Subash National Institute of Sports (NIS). Beginning her career as sports medicine specialist in 2003 by becoming the contingent doctor for the National Games held at Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, she never looked back and presently an important member of doctors’ team of the IBF. The last important task assigned to Dr Sanjogita was `Ring side physician and Dope Control Official’ in 4th Asian Women Boxing Championship at Guwahati in September last. Prior to the Asia meet, she worked as team physician and ring side doctor in an international event held at Turkey in June last.
