| JURSEA politics heats up, Sandy garners support | | | Jammu / Sep 14, 2006 Scholars of the Jammu University’s (JU) Physics and Electronics department today came out in support of JURSEA President Sandeep Singh Sandy as, politics within JURSEA is heating up and it is moving towards polarization. Scholars flayed Departmental Representative (DR) Bandhan Sharma for criticizing Sandy before the media. In a meeting held at JU, scholars of the Department unanimously decided to oppose the irresponsible act of Bandhan Sharma. Whereas, Bandhan Sharma has expressed that majority of DR’s are still not happy with the anti-scholars approach of Sandy. About 22 scholars of the department participated in the meeting and signed the copy against their DR for opposing JURSEA president. Scholars termed his act as senseless, baseless and undemocratic and criticized Bandhan Sharma for not taking scholars into confidence. Research scholar Pankaj Sharma, who accompanied Bandhan Sharma during the press conference in which Sandy was criticized, took a U-turn and blamed Bandhan and other JURSEA members for misleading him. He was full of praise for Sandy and termed Sandy as his brother and guide. Naresh Sharma, Suram Singh also spoke on the occasion.
