PDP launches campaign in Nagrota

JAMMU, Nov 27: A meeting of the card holders and office bearers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nagrota assembly constituency was held under the leadership of party vice-president Ved Mahajan, MLC. District president rural Baldev Singh Slathia and party candidate for Nagrota Abdul Rashid Malik were among the senior leaders who attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Ved Mahajan exhorted the party workers to work with dedication to ensure victory of party candidate Abdul Rashid Malik. He further asked the party workers to highlight achievements of coalition regime headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayed while seeking mandate of the people.
Party vice-president said that during his tenure as Chief Minister of State, Mufti Mohammad Sayed had taken many revolutionary steps for the development and betterment of the State. He said that need of the hour is to properly educate the masses about programmes and policies of the PDP to counter malicious campaign launched by some vested interests against the party.
Calling upon party workers to launch aggressive campaign in favour of PDP candidate, Mr Mahajan said that Mufti Mohammad Sayed as Chief Minister of the State has removed discrimination with Jammu region and delivered good governance in the State. He further suggested the workers to ask the people to compare three years regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayed with three decades long mis-rule of National Conference while casting their votes.
Speaking on the occasion, party candidate for Nagrota segment Abdul Rashid Malik asked the party workers to reach every nook and corner of Nagrota assembly segment to spread message of PDP to garner support of the masses. Mr Malik said that people of Jammu have realized that it was only during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayed that justice was done with this region. PDP leader Neeraj Sharma and Sarpanches and Panches also addressed the meeting.
