| Shakti Dal merges with NCP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, NOV 28: Jammu and Kashmir Shakti Dal today merged into Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and assured fullest support to NCP in the ongoing elections. Thakur Randhir Singh, state NCP president Singh welcomed Kuldeep Sharma in the NCP on behalf of Sharad Pawar, national president NCP and Union agriculture Minister by garlanded Sharma and senior leaders including Rajinder Singh, Vinod Sawhney, Omvar Singh and others On the occasion, Singh released the third list of five candidates. He said that Saira Sameer will contest from Habbakadal constituency in Kashmir, Kuldeep Sharma from Akhnoor, Aashiq Rafiq Khan from Amirakadal, Bodh Raj, from Ramban and Rajinder Singh from Nagrota. Earlier, the NCP president condemned India's worst terror attack in which 125 persons lost their lives in Mumbai and many others were injured and condoled the death of Former Prime Minister V P Singh. A two minute silence was observed in the memory of departed souls of Mumbai attack. Other who spoke on the occasion on the occasion included Gulab Chand Bhagat, Sham Gorkha, Sham Singh, Kuldeep Sharma, Mulkh Raj Sharma and others. |
