| Bhalla describes BJP, NC as chips of same block | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, NOV 28: Accusing Bhartia Janta Party and National Conference of misleading the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Congress senior leader and contesting candidate from Gandhi Nagar, Raman Bhalla has described both the parties as chips of same flock for their dual policies which they adopt to gain power. Addressing public rallies at various places of Gandhi Nagar constituency on Friday, Raman Bhalla said “Both the parties share political power whenever they find an opportunity and at the same time lose no time in strategic dust flinging to keep their vote banks intact,” he said and added that sharing of power in Jammu Municipal Corporation proves the kinship of the two. He further said that although BJP and NC try to give an impression of being the political forces with distinct ideologies but the fact is that Umar Abdullah was the minister in BJP led coalition government. “ One can well understand the fact that BJP tries to play emotional card in Jammu wile Peoples Democratic Party and National Conference do same in Kashmir Division for political gains,” he said and added that the tactics of all the three vary in Jammu and Kashmir provinces. Terming the tactics of these political forces as myopic, he said that only the congress party with broad vision could address the problems of all the regions of state with distinct aspirations and geography. Urging upon the masses to vote congress party on performance basis, he said that the sea change in situation of Jammu and Kashmir has relieved the people of the tension created by gun culture. “Apart from phenomenal development in the state, the peace has returned in the state which imply shows that congress party during its tenure of two and a half years has done a stupendous job for the comfort of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said and added that no political force other than Congress had the potential of giving responsive governance to the people of state. Bhalla addressed public rallies at Kunjwani, Preet Nagar, Khalsa Chowk, Narwal Pain (Satwari) and other adjoining areas where the people accorded him warm welcome. |
