| Frustrated politicians spreading canards: Shakti | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 29: JKNPP candidate from Gandhi Nagar assembly constituency Shakti Gupta has said that National Conference, Congress and BJP and some vested interests who are frustrated over his decision of entering into election fray have started indulging in a false propaganda against him.
Shakti Gupta said that some frustrated leaders of various political parties like NC, Cong etc are indulging into false propaganda and are creating a notion that I have entered into election fray just to benefit the trade unions and their members as he was the veteran trade unionist and the chairman, Provincial Power Employees Union (PPEU).
Gupta informed that lot of complaints against him have been registered by the some leaders of political parties in Power department that he is still working as chairman PPEU.
He clarified that he has resigned from the post of chairman Provincial Power Employees Union on November 22, 2008 before joining the JKNPP and submitted his resignation to Yash Pal Gupta, president, PPEU, Jammu and the President.
He termed it an attempt to malign his image among the voters for Gandhi Nagar assembly constituency. |
