| Strengthening PDP must for peace: Kousar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 29: PDP candidate from Gulabgarh assembly segment, Mumtaz Kousar today appealed to the people to support Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) in the Assembly elections for lasting peace, prosperity and development of the State in general and backward areas in particular. Addressing series of public meetings in different areas of Mahore, Mumtaz said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led regime has set an example of good governance. Strengthening of the PDP is must for peace and progress in the State, she said adding that the successive NC regimes are responsible for the backwardness of Gulabgarh and adjoining localities and it is high time to teach a lesson to those who have done nothing except exploiting people for their political gains. She pointed out that as Chief Minister of the State, Mufti Mohammad Sayed had taken many steps for the development of Mahore, Arnas, Gulabgarh and other neglected localities. Kousar asked the people to make comparison of three year rule of PDP with 30 years mis governance of National Conference. "Corruption and nepotism were legitimized during NC regime and backdoor appointment of undeserving candidates was a routine affair during that rule", she recalled and cautioned the people against malicious propaganda of NC which is the mother of all problems being faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir", she said and asked the people to remain vigilant against designs of opposition. |
