| Bodhi on door-to-door campaign | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 29: BJP candidate from Raipur-Domana constituency Bharat Bhushan (Bodhi) has strongly criticized the former governments in the state for not solving the problems being faced by West Pakistan refugees of 1947, PoK refugees and other border migrants. Bharat Bushan who was on door to door campaigning visited Muthi, Bernai, Lale da Bagh, Akalpur and K C Door said that good number of displaced persons settled in these villages were still in a deplorable condition. He said the West Pakistan refugees have not been granted permanent state resident rights even after living for 60 years in this part of the country. He said while the NC and Congress governments in the past, as well as the PDP-Congress coalition government have not paid any attention to the miserable plight of these displaced persons, BJP was committed to get them their due rights and due place in the comity Omi Khajuria JMC Corporator, Swarn Singh BJP Mandal General Secretary, Kewal Sharma, a prominent social worker of the area, Suraj Padha ex Surpanch Muthi and Mukesh Sharma State Vice President Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha also accompanied Bharat during his tour. |
