J&K girls out of race, boys’ fate to decide today
31st Sub-junior National Volleyball Championships

JAMMU, Nov 29: With competition entering into the third day, Jammu and Kashmir girls seem out of the contest with third straight loss in the league round of the 31st Sub-junior National (boys and girls) Volleyball Championships underway at MA Stadium, here.
In today’s third league tie in of group-D, J&K girls lost to Manipur in straight sets (25-15 25-15 25-22) thus ending their chances of making it into the knock-out round of quarterfinals. In earlier two matches, J&K lost to Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, in boys section today’s was a rest day for J&K. Now, in the two league matches scheduled for tomorrow, J&K shall take on Maharashtra and then to meet Tripura in post lunch session.
In boys section, Kerela lead with four winning off four matches in Group-C while Andhra Pradesh leads with four wins in their account in Group-D. In other two groups of A and B, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu respectively are the top teams with three wins each.
