Court rejects bail plea of husband
DOWRY DEATH CASE
11/30/2008 10:56:21 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 30: Dismissing the bail application filed by Purshotam Kumar, Kishore Lal and Mulak Raj, facing trial for commission of offences u/s 302/498/ 109 RPC, the Additional Sessions Judge MA Choudhary observed that the death of the victim Manjit Kumari has taken place at her marital house and the family members owe an explanation to that also. There are also strong apprehensions that the accused in case of grant of bail may temper the prosecution evidence, which is already fragile being mainly circumstantial evidence. So far as the case small children of accused Kishore Lal and deceased Manjit Kumari is concerned, the grand mother of children has been admitted to interim bail by the High Court. The application of grant of bail is dismissed being found without any merit as there is no compelling circumstance to persuade this Court to grant bail to the accused in a murder case. JNF
