| NMC appeals Governor on address pay issue | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 30: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri has appealed to the governor to implement the 6th Pay commission report in the state since the Election Commission of India (ECI) has given its no-objection to the proposal of the state govt to this effect. Shastri who was addressing NMC workers rally here today while thanking the ECI for clearing the proposal, urged that the pay panel report should be implemented in toto without any delay so as to provide financial relief to the salaried class in view to steep price hike and economic recession. He further said that many of the state governments including Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh have already extended the pay hike benefit to their employees without constituting any committees and added that the state govt. employees and pensioners in J&K should also get this benefits at the earliest so that uncertainty among the four and half lakh employees and pensioners on this vital issue is removed once for all. Shastri also stressed upon the centre govt. for releasing DA installment at the rate 7% due from July this year’s in favour of both central and state governments employees. Among others who also spoke on the occasion included Sham Lal Sharma, Harbans Lal, Kuldeep Sharma, Tarseem Lal Sharma, Mohd. Shafi and Roshan Lal. |
