| Azad failed to deliver: Sheikh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Bhaderwah, Nov 30: Accusing Congress and National Conference for playing vote bank politics, Samajwadi Party leader and party candidate for Bhaderwah constituency Sheikh Muhammad Shafi has said that the former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, who had won bye-elections from Bhaderwah assembly constituency with a record margin, has failed to come up to the expectations of the general masses especially living in the far flung areas of Bhaderwah tehsil. Addressing party workers and supporters, here today, Sheikh said that despite having highest literacy rate in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the unemployment has reached to an alarming stage in the tehsil and youth were facing frustration. "Bhaderwah is known as Mini Kerala for its literacy rate but see what the coalition government has given us on the name of employment and development", Sheikh said adding, "It is unfortunate that the schools and colleges remain without the required infrastructure and poor children are force to quit schools half way". Asserting that Azad failed to come up to the expectations of the people of this constituency, Sheikh said that despite being a chief minister Azad failed to upliftment socio-economic condition of the people, who were still lacking the basic amenities of life. |
