5/8/2022 10:31:58 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, May 8: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta in a message to youngsters stressed on becoming dexterous enough by attaining professional skills to create opportunities for others to earn livelihood rather than wasting energy in finding a job especially in the government sector.
He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a new branch of National Institute of Skills Training (NIST) Fashion Designing & Beauty Institute here at Gandhi Nagar.
Chief Guest on the occasion, Kavinder emphasized on honing the skills of the youth in a way that they can stand on their own feet rather than depending on the government for conventional jobs and other kinds of aid.
He said that today there are a number of such examples of individuals who believed in their dreams and surmounted all hurdles to become big entrepreneurs and businessmen. He said that after attaining basic education, the young generation should make itself technically sound or groom their lives with professional skills as sky is the only limit after one has got the skill and will to work hard.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that the BJP government led by PM Narendra Modi has so many schemes for the youth who intend to try their hand in vocational and technical lines, therefore it is advisable that after getting proper professional training the youth should avail the government schemes to become job providers rather than becoming job seekers. The senior BJP leader said that one can have limitless options after having their own business units especially where professional skills are required. “Courses like Fashion Designing and Beauty Makeup have huge scope for growth as many icons in the industry started with a low budget business establishment and after climbing steps have reached to new heights”, Kavinder said and extended best wishes to youth of the region for reaching upto pinnacle of success.
Meenu Mahajan Mrs India was also present and shared her success story with the small but impressive gathering. On the occasion, NIST also announced the commencement of its new session and gave a detailed overview of the courses which the institution is going to offer to its students.
It was divulged that NIST focuses on women empowerment. Big names in the field including Gautam Bali, Sars Bharti, Meenakshi Bhagat, Tavleen Kour, Zahid Malik, Irian Choudhary, and others were also present.
Managing Director Nusrat Malik emphasized that the Gandhi Nagar Branch of the institution is offering new Diploma & Certificate Courses like Nails Extensions, Hair Extensions, Hair Dressing, etc.
